Two birthdays in one day

Not only Rötger Feldmann alias Brösel, but also his cult comic figure Werner celebrate their birthday today (March 17th). Brösel is 71 years old, Werner 40 years old. We are giving away a birthday picture and show in the video why Werner has looked the way he has looked for 40 years.

The figure embodies me, says the 71-year-old, but Werner is a little cheekier and doesn’t let anyone tell him anything. “Werner actually means someone who would like to live as one would like to live, like this comic figure. She has no worries, she can do anything and everything is possible in comics,” says Rötger Feldmann. The illustrator is already working hard on his next book, an autobiographical comic. When and whether there will be a new Werner comic, the artist leaves it open. And is the birthday being celebrated? “Werner wouldn’t celebrate him at all, he doesn’t really give a shit and I also don’t celebrate because I have a lot to do,” said the illustrator in the RTL interview.
