Come save the mummy from grave robbers in an escape game in Draguignan

A mysterious room located at the back of the Hôtel des expositions (HDE) du Var. To discover it, you have to go around the building, go down a few steps.

A first door opens. There, scientist Peter Soukos left a recorded message. It informs of an imminent threat. She comes not from an ancient mummy who has awakened and threatens the world with a terrible curse, but once again – once too many – from grave robbers.

And in a few moments, it will be too late to save the mummy which is chained on a table. The scientist is in a hurry. He barely has time to explain that a series of puzzles will appeal to the logic of the small team that has come to accomplish this mission.

You need a good sense of observation, a spirit of deduction, but above all, be quick, because time is running out.

Best time for 45 min

“You only have 45 minutes before the looters arrive!”, specifies Peter Soukos, before recalling that some mummies have supernatural powers, their integrity must be respected.

In the room, you must therefore find all the elements that will open the three padlocks and thus free the mummy from its chains. Many clues are hidden in the room, sometimes in very unusual places.

The little investigators do not hesitate to plunge their hands into basins filled with sand and small bugs, to squat down to search the smallest corners of certain spaces, to turn over the blouses of the scientists. To open books, leaf through binders… Or even try to decipher the huge Egyptian touch pad.

Little by little the clues are collected, the chests are discovered, the enigmas are guessed. Two padlocks out of three open. The game gets complicated for the last one. “Have you looked there?”, asks a little investigator, addressing his sister. There are still some things to discover.

Set back in the room, with an amused look, a grave robber who calls himself “The Game Master” reminds the team that they have very little time left.

With a mischievous gaze, he fixes an object to help him move forward. Which did not escape one of the young investigators!

“It’s this way, I’m sure!”, he says with conviction. Another joins him. He eventually finds a secret cache. “I thought about it, but I didn’t dare”, recognizes the youngest investigator, discovering the ultimate clue to decipher the enigma opening the last padlock. Phew! The mummy is saved!

The game master cuts the clock. And congratulate the team of the day. “You took 39 minutes for this mission. Not far from the record, which is currently set at 32 minutes! The mines are delighted, the performance is to be saluted. Mummies still have a bright future ahead of them. And not just the real ones!
