The Ministry of Transportation through the Director General of Land Transportation released new rates for online motorcycle taxis (ojol) 2022. This new rule is stated in the Decree of the Minister of Transportation Number KP 564 of 2022.

This regulation replaces the previous rule, namely KM Number KP 348 of 2019. Furthermore, this new regulation for ojol will serve as a temporary guideline for setting the upper and lower fare limits for online motorcycle taxis.

“In KM Number KP 564 of 2022, we have evaluated the latest tariff limits that apply to online motorcycle taxis. In addition, the zoning system still applies 3 zoning,” said Director General of Land Transportation, Hendro Sugiatno in a written statement, quoted on Tuesday (9 / 9). 8/2022).

Here are the details of the new rules:

Zoning division:

a. Zone I includes: Sumatra, Java (besides Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi), and Bali

b. Zone II includes: Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek)

c. Zone III includes: Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara and its surroundings, Maluku and Papua.

Ojol’s new fare:

Zone I: the service fee for the lower limit is Rp. 1,850/km, the service fee for the upper limit is Rp. 2,300/km, and the minimum service fee is between Rp. 9,250 to Rp. 11,500.

Zone II: the lower limit service fee is IDR 2,600/km, the upper limit service fee is IDR 2,700/km, and the minimum service fee ranges from IDR 13,000 to IDR 13,500.

Zone III: the lower limit service fee is IDR 2,100/km, the upper limit service fee is IDR 2,600/km, the minimum service fee with service fee ranges from IDR 10,500 to IDR 13,000.

Comparison with ojol fares in the previous regulation (KM Number KP 348 of 2019):

Zone I: the lower limit service fee is IDR 1,850/km, the upper limit service fee is IDR 2,300/km, and the minimum service fee with the service fee ranges from IDR 7,000 to IDR 10,000.

Zone II: a lower service fee of IDR 2,000/km, an upper limit of IDR 2,500/km, and a minimum service fee with a service fee ranging from IDR 8,000 to IDR 10,000.

Zone III: the lower limit service fee is Rp 2,100/km, the upper limit service fee is Rp 2,600/km, the minimum service fee with service fee ranges from Rp 7,000 to Rp 10,000.
