Positive two employees and a doctor, inconvenience in the activity: “In these hours nobody picks up the phone to listen to us”

COMACCHIO. The Group Medicine established in the San Camillo di Comacchio Healthcare Center operational at minimum terms and without secretarial service, after the case of coronavirus infection, which involved one of the doctors of the structure and two employees of the same secretariat. And so, the citizens assisted by the five doctors who activated the outpatient clinic in Group Medicine showed up yesterday morning (Friday 23 October) to request answers, since they had not been able to contact the answering machine for days.
The bitter surprise
«With great surprise – he intervenes Giovanni Gelli, president of the Consulta Popolare for San Camillo – they found the clinics closed, while a babel of written notices was applied in the corridor, which generated even more confusion. There is also a box to collect requests for visits and binding bookings, but then we are always there, we have to go back to collect them ».
“In the name of transparency towards users – adds Gelli – correct information is certainly a duty”.
The answer
Through the explanations of the interim director of the South-East District Anna Maria Ferraresi, the reply from the Local Health Authority of Ferrara, indirectly involved in the affair, was not long in coming, since the group medicine clinics were housed inside the Casa della Salute. «Doctors must guarantee telephone access, as per conventional obligations, even if an emergency situation is in progress – says Ferraresi -; of course it is not possible to close Group Medicine, because it is a public utility service. I would like to specify that ordinary and extraordinary sanitizations have been carried out ».
Just yesterday, 101 swabs were performed among employees (doctors, para-medical personnel, Copma and Coopservice personnel) and the ordinary sanitizations were reinforced with those of an emergency nature. “If you need a hand, to ensure continuity also to the administrative secretariat service – the director of the South East District of the ASL closes – we collaborate and even if it is not necessary we can make our staff available”.
The swabs carried out on the carpet yesterday morning brought forward the scheduled deadlines for the employees of the Casa della Salute lagoon, precisely in order to stem a possible wave of infections. –
