Colomiers. Sending recycles, repairs and sells to individuals

The current period favoring storage (and therefore, sorting), many people have started to “tidy up to create a vacuum”, “cleanly” of course, and if possible, usefully.

Among other activities, this is what Envoi Insertion & Handicap allows, an association created more than 20 years ago with the support of Airbus and the Toulouse city hall, now well known to companies in the agglomeration, but much less to individuals. .

Thus, they will no doubt be surprised and delighted to learn that Envoi takes care of any object related to computers, electronics or telephony: whatever its condition, all material is accepted for the purposes of repair, reuse, dismantling or recycling: computer, screen, printer, cable, keyboard, floppy disks, mouse, battery, batteries, ink cartridges, landline or mobile phones, and all other accessories related to IT, electronics or telephony.

Collection and sale in store

Margaux Perry, professional integration adviser and technical coordinator of the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) dismantling service, works in the large premises of Colomiers (5, avenue Clément-Ader): “We collect equipment from companies, but individuals can also call on our services: they can “get rid” of obsolete equipment or equipment that they no longer need by bringing it here, to our Colomiers site, where we will take care of it. We also offer home collection (for a financial contribution), if the weight is over 100 kg. We do not deal with household appliances, with the exception of electric robots.

In addition, the Envoi store sells refurbished “high-end” computer equipment (PCs, tablets, smartphones, video projectors, etc., guaranteed for 6 months). A service for repairing and upgrading computer equipment (and soon mobile phones) is also open to individuals, as well as support in the use of equipment.

130 employees in integration

Actor of the social and solidarity economy, Envoi Insertion et Handicap is an association law 1901 which militates for social inclusion. To do this, it has developed two commercial entities: an integration company (for people benefiting from social minima or long-term job seekers), and an adapted company (for workers with disabilities).

Today, Envoi has some 130 employees. Airbus, Enedis and Suez are among its biggest “suppliers” by regularly donating PCs and other equipment.

Innovation and awards

Envoi also designed the Weee Cart, a connected cart made available to small businesses. This trolley, winner of the Toulouse Métropole special prize of the 2018 Digital Economy Trophies, allows them to store their waste electrical and electronic equipment to be dismantled or recycled over the water. When it is full, Envoi employees collect it on site.

As a reminder, the company that uses Envoi benefits from a deduction from AGFIPH of up to 30% of the cost of labor requested for this service.

Envoi therefore has no shortage of arguments to encourage businesses and individuals to come and visit it, if only for information.

In addition, his shop has recently become a Pick-Up relay point for parcel collection.

Shop: 5 avenue Clément- Ader in Colomiers. Open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
