Cologne’s Lanxess Arena offers corona rapid test drive-in

From Monday, the people of Cologne can be tested for Corona in the P3 car park of the Lanxess Arena. The quick test is securely via Drive-In carried out in the car and carried out by medical personnel. Pre-registration is not necessary.

People who tested negatively can leave the drive-in immediately. If the test result is positive, the Cologne Health Department will request a second sample for a PCR test. This is then evaluated in the Wisplinghoff laboratory in Cologne. Those who tested positive are asked to go into quarantine until the result of the PCR test and thus further instructions from the health department are available

The quick test costs 29 euros. According to the manufacturer Clongene, the diagnostic sensitivity of the test is 98.5 percent. This value indicates the probability that a person will actually later be recognized as sick. (red, symbol photo: imago images / Eibner Europe)
