In Cologne-Lindenthal, two women were injured in a rear-end collision on the military ring road on Tuesday afternoon. As the police announced, the accident occurred about 300 meters from Junkersdorfer Strasse, a 57-year-old Ford driver and a mini driver of the same age were involved in the accident.
According to initial investigations, the driver of the Fiesta was standing in the backwater at the junction of Militärringstrasse / Junkersdorfer Strasse at around 4.30 p.m. when the mini-driver hit the rear of the Fiesta and pushed the car onto a truck in the line of vehicles. The Ford driver suffered serious injuries, the Mini driver minor injuries. Both women were taken to hospital by rescue workers.
The police had the two badly damaged small cars towed away. Military ring road was closed in both directions until around 6 p.m. for accident recording and road cleaning. (red)
