Kediri (beritajatim.com) -As an effort to prevent and control cases of dengue fever, the government of the city of Kediri through the health service collaborates with 92 Joyoboyo cadres scattered in every kelurahan in the city of Kediri. The head of the health office of the city of Kediri, Dr. Fauzan Adima, explained that a total of 1,711 Joyoboyo cadres owned by the city of Kediri. Not only as jumantik cadres, they also work in their daily lives at Posyandu Elders, Mental Health Post, NCD Screening Post, productive age health cadres and as environmental health cadres.

“If you know that a neighbor has dengue fever, you can immediately report it to the Health Service through the nearest puskesmas, we will cross-check later to confirm the diagnosis. If that’s true, we’ll take immediate steps to control it so it doesn’t spread to surrounding neighbors, “she explained.

dr. Fauzan added that 3 cases of dengue fever were reported to the Health Bureau last September. On this occasion, you advised the public to increase vigilance, especially now that the rainy season has entered.

“We have started the rainy season, where there are more mosquito populations and mosquito eggs can still survive even if it only rains for a day or two. For this, we keep the environment clean together, we implement 3M plus, i.e. closing the water tanks, draining the bathtub, because the used cans can be recycled as well as avoiding mosquito bites by sleeping, turning on an insect repellent or using a mosquito repellent lotion. Also, starting to pay attention from now on, if a child has a fever for three days in a row, he goes to the doctor right away so that it can be handled quickly, “he ordered.
