BOLASPORT.COM – The arrival of Cody Gakpo as a new Liverpool player has raised questions from the former coach of their neighboring club, Everton.
Cody Gakpo came as a purchase for Liverpool in the 2023 winter transfer market.
He was brought in from PSV Eindhoven and was inaugurated on 1 January 2023.
The Reds spent 37 million pounds or Rp. 698 billion for the player from the Netherlands.
Club management also binds Gakpo with a long-term contract.
He is projected to strengthen the team from Merseyside until 2028.
Since his arrival at Anfield, it can be said that Gakpo’s progress has been slow.
The bomber has not shown productivity in front of the opponent’s goal.
In total, Gakpo has only made six appearances for Liverpool across competitions since his debut on January 7 2023 in the third round of the FA Cup.
