Cocaine hidden Among Hygiene products Leads to three Arrests in Valencia
VALENCIA, Spain – November 28, 2023 – Three individuals were arrested by the Civil Guard today after a routine traffic stop revealed 300 grams of cocaine and eight grams of ketamine hidden within a vehicle, authorities reported.The drugs were discovered camouflaged among feminine hygiene products.
The arrests occurred during a road check conducted as part of a plan to address retail traffic.Officers noticed visible signs of nervousness from the vehicle’s occupants – a 49-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman, both Spanish nationals, and a 26-year-old individual of North African origin – prompting a search.
Initial findings included small amounts of narcotics suggesting possible personal use. However, a subsequent, more detailed search uncovered a larger block of suspected cocaine concealed within a bag alongside feminine hygiene items, leading officers to believe the drugs were intended for trafficking.
The three occupants were taken into custody and are facing charges related to crimes against public health. The investigation was lead by agents from the Chiva Civil Guard, and the case has been handed over to Court of First Instance and Instruction number 3 of Requena.
