Coca-Cola will stop running paid ads on social media for at least 30 days, the company said in a statement.
– There is no room for racism in the world, and there is no room for racism on social media, writes Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey.
Quincey also writes that the company will use the time to reassess the guidelines and assess whether changes are needed. Coca-Cola also expects greater accountability and transparency from their partners on social media
The stock closed at $ 43.6 on Friday, down 3.0 percent. So far this year, the stock has fallen 21.3 percent, but it’s down 6.7 percent in the past month.
