In June 2020, Ruth appeared to state that he had voted for Trump in 2016, but has since withdrawn his endorsement. “You were my choice in 2016, me and the rest of us hoped that you would be different and better than everyone else but you let us down. Ruth reportedly has ties to North Carolina. Public records show he registered as an “unaffiliated voter in 2012.” In fact, he had voted in the Democratic primaries in that State in March of this year.
