In just three weeks, American talk show host Larry King has lost two of his children. “Both were good souls,” the 86-year-old former TV interviewer wrote on his Facebook page.

His son Andy died unexpectedly of a heart attack on July 28, and his daughter Chaia died suddenly on August 20, after doctors diagnosed her with lung cancer. According to the TV station CNN, they turned 65 and 52 years old, respectively.
“The deaths of the two felt all wrong,” wrote King. “No parent should have to bury a child.” He confirms the loss of Andy and Chaia with “grief and a broken father’s heart”, and thanks for the many condolences.
King became known with his show “Larry King Live”. It started in 1985 and ran on CNN until 2010. On the show, he interviewed Hollywood stars, top executives and top politicians, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and former US President George W. Bush. According to CNN, the award-winning journalist has four other children from previous marriages.
