CMF by Nothing Establishes ‌India as ⁢Global Operations Hub with $100M Investment

CMF by⁤ Nothing is ​solidifying its position as an autonomous brand, with India serving as the core of its global operations, research⁤ & advancement, ⁤and manufacturing. This move‍ underscores india’s growing capabilities in⁤ the consumer technology sector.

The evolution ​was further⁢ cemented today with the announcement of a strategic manufacturing‍ joint venture between Nothing and⁤ optiemus Infracom Limited. This partnership aims to transform India into a global‍ production and export hub for ‌both Nothing​ and CMF‍ products, ​directly⁢ supporting the Indian government’s⁣ “Make​ in ⁤India” initiative.

The joint venture will see an⁢ investment exceeding USD $100 million and the creation of over 1,800 jobs in India over ⁣the next three years. This builds upon⁤ Nothing’s existing investment of over USD $200‍ million already committed to ​the‍ country.

“India will play a key role in⁤ shaping ‍the future of the global smartphone industry,” stated ⁣Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing. “CMF has been well received by the market since we launched it ⁤two years ago. With our end-to-end⁢ capabilities, we are uniquely positioned to now build it into India’s first truly global⁣ smartphone brand. Our joint venture⁣ with Optiemus ‍is a key milestone⁣ toward ‌making that vision a reality.”

Optiemus Infracom brings established engineering and production expertise ⁣to the partnership, leveraging ⁣its track record in supporting global brands and ​developing robust manufacturing and export capabilities.

this announcement follows⁣ recent strategic decisions to centralize CMF’s global marketing‍ operations in India and the appointment of himanshu​ Tandon as VP of CMF Business. Nothing ‌recently secured USD⁣ $200M in Series C funding at a $1.3B‌ valuation, with​ Nikhil Kamath among the new investors.
