Clint Bowyer’s team leader suspended in Michigan

Clint Bowyer will have to do without John Klausmeier for the first of Michigan’s two NASCAR Cup Series races.

Clint Bowyer’s # 14 Ford Mustang finished the race with two loose or missing nuts. As a result team manager John Klausmeier is suspended for the next NASCAR Cup Series race.

Aside from the suspension, Clint Bowyer’s team leader was fined $ 20,000.

Currently twelfth in the general standings, Clint Bowyer occupies fourteenth place in the playoff standings six races from the end of the regular season.

Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr. and Tyler Reddick finished the race with either a missing or loose nut. The team leaders were fined $ 10,000.
