The law regulating clinical medical research, approved by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, prohibits motivating the respondent to participate in any medical research by granting him rewards or cash or in-kind benefits.
An exception is made for what is granted to the researcher in return for the consequences of participating in medical research, such as transportation costs to and from the research body, or absenteeism from the working hours required for medical research, provided that this is specified in advance and with full transparency in the informed consent form submitted to the competent establishment committee and its approval.
