Class Winners ACI Motorsports and Random Vandals Racing Shine in Barber GT4 Thriller

ACI Motorsports and Random​ Vandals Racing Claim Victories in ​PirelliGT4 America ⁢at Barber Motorsports Park

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -‍ September 6, 2024 – ACI Motorsports Porsche and Random Vandals Racing secured class wins‍ in a ⁣thrilling Pirelli ⁤GT4 America race at Barber motorsports​ Park on ​Saturday. Riley ‌Dickinson⁤ and curt Swearingin drove ‌the No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche to an ​overall and Pro-Am class victory, while Darius Trinka ⁢led Random ⁢Vandals Racing to⁢ the⁤ Am class ‍win.

Dickinson ‌and Swearingin powered into the ‌lead during the final stint and maintained their advantage⁤ to the finish. Josh Green and Sam‌ Craven finished‍ second overall in the No. 94 Random Vandals Racing BMW, followed ​by Tyler McQuarrie and ‌James Walker Jr.in ⁢the No.⁣ 82 BimmerWorld Racing BMW M4 GT4.

“We ⁤were eyeing​ an overall‌ win last year, and ⁣we ⁢got it this year,” said swearingin. “This is extra, ⁢extra special. Thankfully the caution at the end saved us⁢ a ‌bit, because‍ Kenton koch was coming in fast. But we got it done, it⁤ was⁢ fun!”

Dickinson added,‌ “I‌ can’t say enough about⁤ Curt Swearingin and the whole ACI crew. They’ve done an unbelievable job. Thank you to ⁢everyone who came out here today, ⁣I can’t say enough⁢ for everyone involved in Racing ⁣for Children. This is obviously close⁢ for them, this is their hometown in⁤ Birmingham, and I’m glad ⁤we could do‍ this for them.”

In the Am class, early‌ leader Laura Hayes ‌(No. 606 Thunder Bunny Racing BMW ⁣M4 GT4) experienced a puncture before the halfway point, relinquishing the lead to James Clay (No. 36 BimmerWorld Racing BMW). Paul ‌Sparta⁤ moved⁣ into second in the ‌No.​ 98 Random Vandals BMW. Following the mandatory pit stops, Darius ‌Trinka took control for Random Vandals Racing and ‍held on for the win. Kenny Schmied and RAFA Racing finished second in the No. 72 toyota Supra GT4, with James Clay and Charlie Postins ⁤completing the podium for BimmerWorld in third.
