After the end of the prayer, the police tried to push the instigators of the riots from the Temple Mount, but they barricaded themselves in the Al-Aqsa mosque.

There they stocked up stones and rebar, which they used during clashes with Israeli security forces. Police fired tear gas, stun grenades and rubber bullets to disperse the protesters.

According to Israeli media, the Israeli security forces are preparing for a new outbreak of protests towards the evening of Friday, when the Passover holiday will come for Jews.

Earlier it was reported that two people died, eight were injured during shooting in Tel Aviv.
