Practical civil protection exercises will be held at JSC “Conexus Baltic Grid“in cooperation with the State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD) from 10 am
During the training, an alarm and notification system will be activated in the storage facility, multi-service emergency vehicles with sound and light signals will be moved in the storage facility, and people will be evacuated.
The organizers of the training not only urge the residents not to worry, but also remind them that no action is necessary, because the surrounding residents and the environment will not be harmed during the training.
The civil protection training scenario envisages that in the Inčukalns underground compressor shop, the gas pumping unit will burst with a gas leak, as a result of which a fire of increased danger will break out.
The aim of the training is to check and improve the established procedures and measures in case of threats, which are specified in the civil protection plan of the Inčukalns underground gas storage and outside the civil protection plan of the facility. Cooperation with rescue and emergency services, as well as municipal institutions in carrying out disaster management measures in the event of industrial accidents will also be assessed.
Representatives from State Police, The State Environmental Service, the Emergency Medical Service, local governments and other stakeholders.
