As reported by the Armed Forces, the purpose of their displacement is to carry out the necessary field work for the preparation of a complementary technical eye inspection, in relation to the road accident that occurred on the LU-P-2604 highway.

In this accident, four people who were traveling in the vehicle with the driver died, who was admitted to the ICU, and a sixth person who got out on his own foot and who was treated hours later at a health center and was discharged the few hours.

After the accident, the Investigating Court number 2 of Viveiro, on duty, opened proceedings and authorized the referral of blood samples to a laboratory, which yielded a positive result for alcohol in the driver.

The accident occurred on April 1 at kilometer 1,100 of the LUP-2604 in a sharp curve in A Rigueira, in the vicinity of the Palmeiro urbanization, in Xove, and was located by a neighbor at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday. , but it is estimated that it occurred several hours before. There were no signs of the vehicle braking on the asphalt.

The Civil Guard, which carried out the first investigations of the accident for its referral to the court, also proceeded to investigate the other surviving occupant (one of the two who was wearing a seat belt) in case he has committed a crime of omission of the duty of relief , “for having left the place of the accident without helping the other occupants of the vehicle or demanding help.”
