After initial skepticism, almost all Langenthal politicians are now in favor of the SIP (security, intervention, prevention) project. It is a combination of mobile social and security services and has proven itself more and more since its introduction in 2011. And yet SIP was buried – at least for the time being – in parliament on Monday after a strange debate.
This means that the employees of the Tokjo children’s and youth center, which is responsible for SIP in Langenthal, will no longer be on duty from next year. How did it happen that an offer that has become more and more important in public space for the city in recent years is canceled?
