Citizens are surprised by doing improper acts in the Estero de San José

San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur. The councilor president of the San José Estero Building Commission, Jorge Armando López Espinoza, revealed that thanks to the technology of the video surveillance cameras they have in the estuary, which are connected to the Public Safety Monitoring and Control Center (C2), have managed to detect more than 5 people doing improper acts in the area, this, he specified, so far this year.

“We have detected more than five people doing improper things that are captured by video surveillance cameras, and in fact, we have invited them to leave,” explained López Espinoza, and reiterated that with video surveillance cameras they have greater security in the area, allowing them to capture the presence of animals and people who sometimes want to use the protected natural area.

Similarly, López Espinoza recalled that in 2020 they managed to capture, through the cameras connected to the C2, how they tried to manipulate the sandy bar that connects the body of water with the sea, the same situation that, he stressed, they managed to stop in a timely manner and that it was up to the legal.

“I went to testify just a month and a half ago to the Attorney General’s Office and it is on their court. We have already requested a report, to give it timely follow-up and that we also make it known to the public, since they are environmental damages that could have been generated if they had not been surprised, “the councilor concluded.
