If Frank de Boer watched Valencia-Villarreal on Friday evening, the national coach of the Dutch national team probably went to bed with a good feeling. For the home team, goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen was one of the stars.
Cillessen was in the starting line-up for the third time in a row and distinguished himself with some nice saves. In the final phase, his team also took three points. Valencia turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 victory, with goals from Carlos Soler and Gonçalo Guedes.
First goalkeeper
After long injuries, Cillessen returned under the bar two weeks ago at Valencia. Unlike before his absence, the 31-year-old goalkeeper now enjoys the confidence of trainer Javi Gracia.
