Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – A very special choir is to sound this Christmas this year. Because the opportunities to sing and make music together are limited due to Corona, the Archdiocese of Freiburg has started a sing-along campaign. Everyone can contribute a video of the self-sung Christmas carol “O you cheerful”, as the diocese announced on Monday.

A video collage from the contributions should be available for Christmas Eve. “Even inexperienced singers can take part, as the audio tracks are mixed together in such a way that a harmonious whole is created,” said Tobias Helmle from the video’s production team.

The diocesan Bonifatiuswerk, the Choir Association Pueri Cantores, the Association of Children’s and Youth Choirs of the Archdiocese of Freiburg and the Badische Choir Association are cooperating for the campaign.
