Church concert in France’s Nantes canceled, protesters protest against ‘devilish’ musicians

Anna von Hausswolff is a Swedish goth composer, who plays her latest songs on organ. That is why she chooses churches for a series of concerts. But in France this did not go down well with some of the strict believers. The concert on Tuesday evening in Nantes in the Loire in the west of France could not even take place.

A group of integrist Catholics took up posts in the church. The organizers (the LU cultural center, known to us for the cookies) tried to calm the mood. But in the end they had to cancel the concert anyway. In a press release they call that unacceptable. The organization points out that concerts in Berlin, London and other European cities went smoothly.
