Police arrest Rusdi Karepesina (55), a man who claimed to be a general in the Sunda Nusantara Empire. Rusdi’s arrest began when the police crossed the car driven by the Ambon-born man.
Initially, the Highway Patrol (PJR) of the Polda Metro Jaya Ditlantas ticketed Rusdi’s car on the Cawang Toll Road today at 11.00 WIB. At that time, the police saw that Rusdi’s car was wearing a number plate which did not comply with the regulations.
“So we secured a Mitsubishi Pajero vehicle using a number plate that did not match the vehicle number issued by the National Police and using the SN-45-RSD police number plate,” said Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta. , Wednesday (5/5/2021).
The police then examined the vehicle documents from the perpetrators. However, at that time, Rusdi was unable to show an official vehicle certificate according to the regulations issued by the Police.
During an investigation, the police found identity papers Rusdi related to existence Sunda Nusantara Empire. Rusdi even claimed to be a general in the empire.
“Various identity cards were found issued by the Sunda Nusantara Empire. Brother RK admitted that he was part of a general of the Sunda Nusantara Empire and was a member of the Sunda Empire,” said Sambodo.
Armed with that identity card, Rusdi not cooperative when checked by officers. The man insisted the papers were official so they did not deserve a ticket.
“According to the officer who arrested him, who was securing it, when he was examined the driver insisted that he was using a valid STNK and driving license according to the Nusantara Kingdom,” said Sambodo.
The police are still digging information from Rusdi Karepesina. Sambodo said that his party had coordinated with the Sub-Directorate for State Security (Kamneg) of the Directorate General of Criminal and Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya to explore the origins of the Sunda Nusantara Empire.
In addition, the police will now examine Rusdi’s mental state.
“We will also try to coordinate with Biddokes to check his psyche. Do not let him have a mental disorder whether he is disoriented or delusional which will endanger other road users because it could potentially cause traffic accidents,” said Sambodo.

One of the photos received detikcom from Rusdi’s identity is a description of his military position. On the identity card, there is a statement of the Imperial Army of The Empire of The Sunda Archipelago or the Sunda Nusantara Imperial Army (TKSN).
“Position: Staff of the TKSN High Commander,” said one of Rusdi’s identities.
One of Rusdi’s other ID cards also shows a two-star image of the identity card. The card also contained Alex Ahmad Hadi Ngala’s statement as General of the Sunda Empire Army.
In addition, another photo obtained is a driver’s license from Rusdi issued by the Sunda Nusantara Empire. From the photo received detikcom, The driver’s license reads ‘Sunda Nusantara Empire State’.
