Chronology of the first 100 days of COVID-19 in El Salvador | News from El Salvador

These are the events that occurred around how the country lives the epidemic.

Today is 101 days since the Ministry of Health (Minsal) announced the first case of COVID-19 in El Salvador, on March 18.

– He March 21st, declares at first home quarantine for 30 days; only one person per family was authorized to make purchases.

– He March 26th, the Assembly authorizes the Government acquire a debt for $ 2,000 million to attend the emergency.

– He March 31st, the first person dies from coronavirus in El Salvador. The month ends with 32 cases of COVID-19.

– He April 8, the Constitutional Chamber orders to repatriate more than 4,000 stranded Salvadorans who were unable to return after the airport closed on March 17.

– He April 14th, the first cases of discrimination against medical personnel who attends in the emergency; several were forced to leave their homes.
