‘Christmas without crowds and celebrations; In memory of Rahelamma, Daniel Achayan ‘| Ramesh Chennithala | Christmas Memories | Covid

Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has said that this is the first time since the beginning of public life that Christmas is over without crowds and celebrations. Many people reacted to Chennithala’s heartfelt post on social media sharing her memories of home. The Leader of the Opposition, who is in the quarantine affected by the Kovid, thanked for the welfare inquiries and greetings.

From Ramesh Chennithala’s post:

A Christmas passes without crowds and celebration. This is the first such Christmas night and dawn since the beginning of public life. The first Christmas, not between crowds and celebration. I first came to know the love of Jesus through the Mayara family in Chennithala. Christmas memories start from this house next door to Chennithala house. Our Christmas breakfast is from Daniel Achayan’s house in Mayara.

Mayara John Daniel Kalaposhini, the grandfather of the family, was also the librarian of the library. For me as a schoolboy, this librarian used to set aside a book to read. It was this librarian who opened the library for adults and children at that time. The depth of love was immense as many members of this family were disciples of his father who was also a teacher.

The Mayans return home on Christmas day after the Pathira Qurbana at the Chennithala small church. The return will take place on Christmas night, after the burning of the corpse, which will be kept after the procession around Oceana Sunday. Christmas history and Bible stories can be heard from here. Christmas and Easter start at this house in the morning.

Handing out cards and cutting the cake for Christmas is a tradition that has been around for a long time. Christmas has never seemed to be the only celebration of Christianity. I have included Jesus Christ in my list of gods since I was a child, perhaps because I grew up loving the love of Rachel and Daniel Achayan.

The new generation of Mayara family members, including Nobilachan, are still considered as one family. When Nobilachan was called and wished Christmas, the taste of white bread and meat came to his tongue. It was these householders who introduced me to Jesus Christ, who taught me the lessons of the great shepherd, to love your neighbor as yourself. He was going down to Jesus through the believers.

We are celebrating the birthday of the Savior of the world from afar with congratulations. My quarantine time was spent in prayer and reading. Many are calling for welfare and greetings. Thanks for all the kind words. May the words of Jesus lead us into the light of life.
