The European Space Agency has announced that scientists have discovered that asteroid 2015 RN35 is flying towards Earth.
The agency’s statement said, “Asteroid 2015 RN35 is relatively large and will be flying close to Earth, so amateur astronomers can track it.”
The Daily Express newspaper indicates that the diameter of this asteroid reaches 140 meters and will approach the Earth at a distance of 680,000 km, therefore it does not pose any danger to humanity in the near future. British journalists have dubbed 2015 RN35 “the Christmas asteroid”.
It will be possible to observe the asteroid from December 15th to 17th, and in Europe until the 19th of this month.
