The 26 – year – old Neiland has participated in the Giro d ‘Italia for the past two years, winning the high fifth place in one of the stages last year.
This year he has shown active performance on the Paris-Nice, Strade Bianche and Criterium du Dauphine cycling routes. The team describes Kuldīga as a strong driver both in the mountains and in sprint.
“One of the goals of the team was to get to the Tour de France together with an Israeli cyclist. I am pleased that we achieved this goal together and can be a part of this journey. “Let ‘s participate with a quite strong team and do great things together,” the team quotes Neiland as saying.
Last year, for the first time in his career, Neilands was recognized as the best cyclist of the year in Latvia. In turn, he was recognized as the rising star of the year in the “Latvian Sports of the Year Award 2019”.

The Tour de France will start next Saturday and end on September 20 in the Champs Elysées.
Last year, Latvia was represented on the French tour by Toms Skujiņš, who was in the 81st position in the overall rating. Carnikaval also has a good chance to start this year’s “Tour de France”.
