BEIJING, KOMPAS.TVThe cremated ashes of a female Chinese influencer were reportedly stolen by funeral workers.

It turned out that the cremated ashes were sold for ghost wedding rituals.

It was the cremated ashes of an influencer named Luoxiaomaomaozi that were stolen.

Luoxiaomaomaozi died after he drank pesticides during a live broadcast on social media Duoyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.

The female influencer expressed her desire to commit suicide.

Luoxiaomaomaozi was later reported dead on October 15, after emergency services failed to save him.
