Chinese analyst: New iPhones are getting longer and thinner than iPhone 11 | NOW

According to an anonymous Chinese analyst, the new iPhones, which are likely to be presented in September, will get the same shape as the current iPhone 11, writes the Japanese site Macotakara Tuesday. The iPhones are slightly longer and a lot thinner than the current models.

The site writes that the upcoming iPhones will get the same appearance as the iPhone 11. This is a model with a screen of 5.4 inches, two models with a screen of 6.1 inches and a model with a screen of 6, 7 inches.

The smallest version would fall in length between the current iPhone SE and iPhone 8. The length of the 6.1-inch models would be between that of the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro, while the largest model would be slightly longer than the iPhone 11 Pro Max. This makes all new models slightly longer than the current versions, while keeping the same width.

The new iPhones would also become thinner than the current models. According to the article, the new iPhones are 7.4 millimeters thick, which is 0.7 millimeters thinner than the iPhone 11 Pro. Compared to the iPhone 11, which is 8.3 millimeters thick, the new iPhones would be no less than 0.9 millimeters thinner.

New cameras

According to the analyst, the models with the 5.4-inch screen and the inexpensive variant with the 6.1-inch screen will have two cameras on the back, just as is now the case with the iPhone 11. From the premium model with a 6.1 camera specifications are not known yet.

The largest model of the new iPhone, just like the iPhone 11 Pro, would have three cameras on the back. However, these would have larger sensors than the lenses on the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
