China Prolongs Tariff Suspension on U.S. Goods Following Trade Talks
Beijing – China announced Wednesday it will extend its suspension of additional tariffs on $75 billion worth of american products, a move directly linked to recent economic and trade consultations wiht the United States. The decision, revealed by the Chinese Ministry of Finance, offers a continuation of a policy initially implemented in September 2023 as a gesture of goodwill amid ongoing efforts to stabilize bilateral economic relations.
This extension impacts a wide range of U.S. exports previously subject to retaliatory tariffs, including agricultural products, automobiles, and industrial goods.
