Luxembourg City – Parents navigating childhood vaccinations now have a powerful new tool at their disposal: the Electronic Vaccination Book (CVE), though uptake among all doctors remains incomplete. This comes as health officials emphasize understanding the difference between normal vaccine reactions, potential complications, and very rare adverse effects.
Vaccinations trigger an immune response, often manifesting as temporary symptoms.These reactions - indicating the body is building protection – are generally mild and resolve within days. Normal reactions also include diarrhea following rotavirus vaccination and rashes appearing weeks after a chickenpox shot. however, complications, defined as medical disorders beyond typical reactions, can rarely cause health damage.According to pediatrician Dr. Allard, the CVE is a “critically important advance,” allowing parents to easily access their children’s vaccination records online, a benefit over easily lost paper versions. “However, all doctors do not yet record the data,” Dr. Allard cautioned, advising families to verify their records are updated.
