Several children seriously injured in air raid on residential area

Nfter a Russian attack in a suburb of the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, rescue workers pulled numerous injured people out of the rubble of a destroyed house. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in Kiev on Saturday evening: “Once again Russia has shown that it is a terrorist state. Unfortunately, there are people under the rubble.” The authorities reported 20 injuries, and several children were also seriously injured. Three of the injured children were said to be in serious condition.
The head of state released a video showing the completely destroyed two-story building. Rescuers searched for survivors. Russian rocket and drone attacks in Ukraine repeatedly hit civilian infrastructure. According to Zelenskyj, a bullet fell between two two-story apartment buildings. There had previously been an air alert in the region. It was unclear exactly what had hit there. Dnipro is located in southeastern Ukraine.
“The Russians will bear responsibility for everything they did to our state and the people,” said Zelenskyy. He also previously released a video of a conversation with Latin American journalists, reiterating that no negotiations to end the war are possible with the current Russian leadership.

That would mean that almost a quarter of the country’s bomb shelters would not provide a safe haven from Russian attacks like last week’s.
Criticism of the state of the bunkers came after a 33-year-old woman died in front of a locked bunker during a Russian attack on Thursday because she and others appeared unable to get inside.

The United States and NATO countries have been urging South Korea to supply arms and ammunition to Ukraine. So far, South Korea has refused.
