The employee has been inactive since the accusations. According to director Raymond Clement of Maatwerk In Kinderopvang (MIK), the umbrella under which Villa Hagelslag falls, that is the prescribed procedure in these types of cases. “Because we want to protect the man, but also because it is very sensitive with the parents, he will remain inactive for now,” says Clement.
The case takes effect from January 9, when the parents of a child reported immoral acts by a pedagogical employee of Villa Hagelslag in Elsloo. The children are looked after there after school. Two more declarations from other parents followed in the following weeks. It concerns children between 4 and 6 years old. The police investigated all cases and concluded that the employee had not done anything punishable.
