Chevrolet surprises with powerful electric car offensive

At the LA motor show right now, there’s no question that the electric car adventure is here to stay. Traditional American brands have taken a long time to register properly. But now they are coming in full force.

Chevrolet, which was certainly in the field with its Opel twin Bolt as early as 2017, is one of them.

In Los Angeles, they have no fewer than three production-ready electric cars with them. One in particular gets a lot of attention from visitors.

In the video above you can see more of all three cars.

Discount

The car that surprises the most is a low-cost crossover called the Quinox. In the US, this will have a starting price of around NOK 320,000.

At the same time, it can be delivered with a range of up to 500 kilometers. It’s solid in this class, so there are plenty of electric cars for the money here.

The plan is for this to go on the market in fall 2023.

Family-SUV

For the first time, even the classic Blazer will be electric. This is a mid-size SUV. When we say medium in size, it is viewed with Norwegian eyes. In the US this is a compact SUV.

The top version of the electric Blazer will have a range of over 500 kilometers, and will do 0-100 km/h in under four seconds.

A starting price of around NOK 470,000 is promised here.

To collect

But what Americans are most interested in is obviously the electric pickup: the Silverado.

Chevrolet speaks of a range of over 650 kilometers, 754 horsepower and 0-100 km/h in less than five seconds.

That means this is a car that will obviously go head-to-head with the electric version of America’s best-selling pickup truck: the Ford F-150 Lightning.

You can see more about all these cars in the video at the beginning of this article.
