The cherry harvest started this week in the Freiburg region. Because of the frosty nights in April and hungry crows, 2023 will probably not be a good cherry year for local fruit growers.
A few days ago the antifreeze was at the Sehringer fruit farm in Schallstadt-Mengen. “With the early and middle cherry varieties we have losses of up to 75 percent,” says Kurt Sehringer.
