Christian Pulisic set a new record in the Premier League after contributing a goal when Chelsea won 2-1 over Manchester City at Stamford Bridge yesterday.
Pulisic is listed as a player aged 21 years or below who has made the most goals in the Premier League, which is seven goals.
An additional three points make Chelsea stronger in the Champions League zone.
For Manchester City, the defeat ended their struggle in chasing Liverpool.
City are 23 points behind and with seven matches left they are no longer likely to pursue Liverpool’s points.
Pulisic said he was happy to contribute another goal for Chelsea.
In the previous match the United States international broke into the Aston Villa goal.
It was Pulisic’s first back to back since joining Chelsea earlier this season.
The former Borussia Dortmund player had to be patient in the Blues core squad.
Injuries made him have to pull over a lot. But since last December, the 21-year-old player began routinely defending Chelsea.
