Chelsea mourn the club legend Peter Bonetti. The seven-fold English team goalkeeper has to fight a long, serious illness lost.

This was announced by the “Blues” on Easter Sunday. No further information on his illness or death is known.

In his active career, Peter Bonetti played 729 competitive games for Chelsea. The “cat” stood between the posts from 1960 to 1979 and is in second place in the ranking of players with the most bets. This is led by Ron Harris (795). In the world championship team of 1966, he was a replacement goalkeeper in the squad.

After his active career, the Englishman moved to Scotland and turned his back on professional sports.
