SEVILLA – Chelsea qualify for the semifinals Champions League 2020-2021. The Blues – nicknamed Chelsea – escaped after getting rid of FC Porto 2-1 on aggregate.
According to reports Opta Joe, Chelsea’s breakout this time made the City of London club carve a slick record. Chelsea is the most successful English team in terms of qualifying for the semifinals of the Champions League.
Chelsea have qualified for the semifinals eight times. Previously, the record was owned by one of Chelsea’s rivals, namely Manchester United, who qualified for the semifinals of the Champions League seven times.
Apart from overtaking Man United, Chelsea also passed the records of other big Premier League clubs, such as Liverpool (five) and Arsenal (two). Meanwhile, Manchester City, Totteham Hotspur and Leeds United have only qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League once.
Chelsea is just waiting for their potential opponent in the semifinals, namely Liverpool or Real Madrid. Leg II between Liverpool and Real Madrid will take place at Anfield Stadium, Thursday 15 April 2021, early morning WIB.

Liverpool and Real Madrid came to leg II with different supplies. In the first leg which took place at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium, Wednesday 7 April 2021, early morning WIB, Liverpool lost 1-3 to Real Madrid.
Real Madrid’s chances of qualifying for the semifinals are even greater than Liverpool. Los Blancos – the nickname of Real Madrid – only need a draw or not lose by more than one goal difference.
However, anything can happen in a football match. Liverpool have a good track in turning things around in the Champions League. For example, Liverpool eliminated Barcelona in the 2018-2019 Champions League 4-3 on aggregate after losing 0-3 in leg I.
