Chelsea is hot on recruiting Kai Havertz at the back line battered. Chelsea’s conceded ratio is close to the poor record of the 1990/1991 season.
Chelsea were crushed by Bayern in the last 16 of the Champions League 7-1 on aggregate. The Blues lost 0-3 in the first meeting and were crushed 1-4 at the Allianz Arena, Sunday (9/8/2020) in the morning WIB.
The defeat also ended Chelsea’s journey in the 2019/2020 season on a bad record in terms of conceding. According to the data released eighth Frank Lampard’s team have conceded 79 goals in all competitions.

If leveled per game, Chelsea have conceded 1.44 goals per game. That ratio is close to the worst since 1990/1991 with 1.64 conceded per game.
Lampard certainly has to fix the back line for next season. Adding new ammunition can be a solution at this time.
On the other hand, Chelsea has yet to move to bring in a new defender. The London club continues to pursue attacking-type players, such as Timo Werner, who has been successfully obtained from RB Leipzig. Currently Chelsea are keen on chasing Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen.
“I wouldn’t expect anything but our job is to go and see what happens and see where we can improve,” said Lampard when asked about movements in the transfer market as quoted by Metro.
“In a football sense, I feel like I know where we can improve, but now is the time to see that,” added Lampard.
