Check out the first teaser for the Netflix Resident Evil series »Vortex

Horror has already arrived in our cinemas this week Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City director and screenwriter Johannes Roberts, who is to restart the popular saga from Capcom on the screen. It definitely doesn’t look like a blockbuster at this point. But it will certainly not be a coincidence that at almost the same time Netflix got out with the first teaser, through which it attracts fans to own feature series.

A short clip shows a zombie dog and the logo of the upcoming Resident Evil. Interestingly, the video appeared on the official Instagram account, so that it could later be downloaded and replaced only by images. Of course, the fans’ attention did not escape, so they managed to save it.

Netflix introduced the actors in June. To the surprise of many fans, Lance Reddick will play Albert Wesker.

The new series is being shot by the German company Constantin Film, the same group behind the new film, but also by the older Hollywood series. As we wrote before, the story will take us to New Raccoon City and its main characters will be the daughters of negative Albert Wesker. Jade and Billie will search for the secrets of their father and the town itself. As you can see, the filmmakers have unleashed their imagination in this case and will not stop at the new story.

Netflix introduced the actors in June. To the surprise of many fans, Lance Reddick will play Albert Wesker. It will also feature Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph and Paola Nunez. The story will take place in two time planes. Before and after the zombie apocalypse, when humanity will become an endangered species in the future. The series is to have eight-hour episodes.

The first features fourteen-year-old sisters Jade and Billie, who move to New Raccoon City. On the second level, the story moves more than a decade into the future. There are less than 15 million people and more than six billion monsters previously infected with the T-virus on Earth. Jade is 30 years old and struggles to survive in this new world while still haunted by secrets about her father, sister and herself.

The filmmakers promise old acquaintances, but also things that fans haven’t seen before. The project also wants to reach newcomers who do not yet know the world of Resident Evil. It is worth noting at this point that this is not Netflix’s first trip to the world of Resident Evil. An animated miniseries premiered here this year Infinite Darkness, even though she just didn’t inspire us.

More details about the new series can be found at our older articles.
