After Saturday’s sprint, she claimed that in general, the less shooting, the better. In the fighter, however, after the first two penalty circuits, she managed two items flawlessly and moved up to the elite ten. “I surprised myself and I hope that the people around the track could easily tell where I was coming here,” she smiled.
But the last shooting was a disaster for many biathletes, including an elite Czech pair. Both recorded three errors. “It simply came to my notice then that I was falling into hell with the results list. I was afraid I would be somewhere around thirty, “she admitted.
With regard to the mistakes of others, however, she did not experience any significant decline and was 15th in the finish. She was among the elite last in her sensational bronze from sprint at the Anterselva World Championships last year. Still, she knew she could end up even higher.
“Before the race we played one great song Ready or not,” she referred to a former hit by The Fugees, translated as Ready or Not. “So apparently I was ready in front of the first handstand and it fell in front of the second,” she said with a smile.
“But it’s still a nice result,” admitted the winner of the Czech mini-duel. “It’s true that when I saw Margaret and me next to me, I thought we’d have a nice picture,” she joked.

Meanwhile, David wondered what was behind the failure in the last shooting. “The wind was clearing there, but I wouldn’t blame him at all. It’s probably a combination of factors that I couldn’t do it in my head, and the wind also helped, “said Davidová, who fought for the last meters to move at least a place with the Ukrainian Blašková.
“I didn’t feel bad about myself in cross-country skiing, but I’m so confused about it, I don’t know how to always comment on it,” said David, who already admitted after the sprint that she hadn’t been able to choose the ideal skis lately.
