Charlotte Gainsbourg and Yvan Attal reunited on a shoot with their son Ben

After several months away from each other, the two actors finally meet again! This Tuesday, August 11, in Paris, Yvan Attal started the shooting of his new film entitled, “Human Things”, in which he will give the reply to his wife Charlotte Gainsbourg. The actor will also direct their eldest son Ben, 23.

This new film therefore marks a family reunion. The couple who do not live together have been separated due to confinement. At the end of July, the actor revealed on Europe 1: “Just before confinement, I was in New York with Charlotte and my daughters and I returned to prepare this film by Karine Tuil that I was supposed to prepare in March-April and shoot. June July. Boom, we’re confined, so I found myself all alone in Paris, with my son. ”

For her part, the daughter of Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin explained last June to “Madame Figaro” that she had “a great attachment” to the city of New York where she was confined. However, even though she has been living there for six years now, she seemed saddened by the situation and wanted to be reunited with her family as soon as possible.

She said: “It’s so sad all these closed places, all these unemployed people… so much misery. This is terrible. This is also where I realize that part of the United States, a country that I love, is in a different culture. When there is a serious problem, as there is, we realize that we want to go “home” ”.

The couple sign a new collaboration

“Les Choses humaine” is far from being the couple’s first collaboration. Indeed, the two actors like to work together. They also met on the sets of “In the eyes of the world” in 1991. Then, they shared the poster of “My wife is an actress” (2001), “They married and had many children. (2004), “They’re everywhere” (2016) and the latest, “My stupid dog” (released October 2019).

The filming of the feature film, “Human things”, will take place until November 7, and should be released on November 24, 2021. Matthieu Kassovitz, Pierre Arditi, Audrey Dana and Benjamin Lavernhe are also participating in this new project. Inspired by the eponymous novel by Karine Tuil, it tells the story of a man accused of having raped a young woman and takes us into the mechanism of the judicial machine.
