We are used to all the official news from the British royal family coming from Buckingham Palace. For nearly two centuries it has been a symbol of the country’s monarchy and was the place where Elizabeth II lived during her reign.
However, this is probably about to change. Because the former Prince Charles is now King Charles and his wife Camilla is the queen consort, but their home remains unchanged for now.
The two continued to live at Clarence House in London and Charles only came to Buckingham Palace for his official duties. Like his first meeting with Britain’s new Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, last week.
There are no sentimental reasons behind this decision, but a completely logical decision. In 2016, it was reported that Buckingham Palace was due to undergo a £ 400 million renovation.

They are expected to be completed in 2027. But even then it is not certain that Charles and Camilla will decide to abandon Clarence House at the expense of the building, the Sunday Times comments. The royal flag currently flies over Buckingham Palace and Clarence House when Charles is in London.
Last week, Charles first took advantage of a tradition introduced by Queen Victoria in 1843. The Royal Piper played at dawn in the Clarence House garden: its morning performances act as a wake-up call for the country’s current monarch.
Recall that the royal bagpipe player’s last moving performance was at Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral at Windsor Castle, when her coffin was brought to St George’s Chapel to the sound of bagpipes.
