Changes in the beaches of València by Covid19

The Mayor of València, Joan Ribó, has called for “personal responsibility” to the neighborhood and visitors to make “correct” use of the beaches during this summer campaign, especially with a view to preventing contagion from covid-19.

The 2020 beach campaign has as a novelty the presence of 40 beachfront informants, who will inform the public about compliance with security provisions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, who have been working since the beginning of this month.

The company Mar y Sombra on the Malvarrosa beach in València has changed its hammock and umbrella rental service to adopt its security measures. The hammocks will not incorporate mats and will be disinfected after each use, and they have also reduced the number of hammocks available per station. They will also maintain a distance of five meters between the spaces of the umbrellas.
