Chanchamayo: Perené farmer threw his fruit on the road due to loss of investment

Low prices made a farmer from Perené, in Chanchamayo, he will throw his fruit on the road. He assured that they want to pay him 7 soles for a box of 25 kilos of mandarins and oranges.

Farmer David Cárdenas explained that due to the lack of markets and low prices, the fruits began to spoil and therefore he decided to drive his vehicle over them to avoid the fruit fly plague.

He indicated that the price they want to pay him does not cover the investment made. Other farmers don’t have the money to build septic tanks to process the waste.

They requested support for the construction of a nectar processing plant and the purchase of its production.
