At dawn this Sunday, at 3:50 am, the Palmeiras players found a euphoric crowd in front of the club’s CT, in the west side of São Paulo.

The players climbed onto the roof of the buses and greeted the fans – some spent six hours waiting for the idols. There was a strong fireworks display, accompanied by shouts of “three-time champions”. Afterwards, the athletes climbed into an electric trio.

The arrival in Brazil took place two hours earlier, at 1:50 am this Sunday, amidst a lot of partying and provocations against Flamengo on the plane, which landed at Guarulhos International Airport, in São Paulo.

The players started their return from Montevideo late on Saturday night, after the 2-1 victory at the Centenário stadium. They traveled with the cup. Upon landing on Brazilian soil, they intensified the provocations to Flamengo, shown in live broadcasts made by the athletes themselves.

At 3:15 am, after entering the country, the delegation began its journey to the Football Academy and had the first contact with the fans. They gathered at an airport gate and on the exit lanes. With chants and flags, they greeted the two Alviverde buses.
