Chamber music festival takes place – bvz.at

Numerous artists such as Sir András Schiff, Vilde Frang, Denis Kozhukhin or the concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Daishin Kashimoto will be able to accept the invitation of the artistic director Nicolas Altstaedt to Lockenhaus despite all current restrictions.
Therefore the Chamber Music Festival Lockenhaus can go on stage as planned from July 2nd to 11th, whereby the original motto “… more intimate ….” has been slightly changed to “by far ..inner …”

“top-class figurehead of the cultural land Burgenland”

The top priority will be the implementation of measures to ensure the health of the public and everyone involved, according to Managing Director Géza Rhomberg. In addition to the venues with the reduced capacity due to the spacing regulations, an open air lounge will be set up in the park of the Esterházy Lockenhaus palace, in which the concerts can alternatively be experienced live via video wall outdoors in combination with culinary delights. In this way, the Chamber Music Festival breaks new ground and sees this special outdoor concept as an offer to new audiences.

Governor and Culture Officer Hans Peter Doskozil welcomes the planned implementation of the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival within the framework of the security requirements defined by the federal government: “I am pleased that Burgenland is a strong cultural sign of life in the Austrian cultural scene. The Chamber Music Festival is a top-class figurehead of the cultural region of Burgenland. Its implementation also greatly supports our efforts to revitalize tourism and the regional economy. ”

The detailed concert calendar and seating plan for the Chamber Music Festival 2020 is currently being revised taking into account the requirements. Tickets will go online again on June 8th (www.kammermusikfest.at) and by phone (02616/20202).
